The Kiwigrid is based on the Internet Protocol, version 4 and 6 (IPv4, IPv6). All manufacturer-specific interfaces are adapted in the protocol and communicate within the system via central IP-bus.

The Kiwigrid platform can be extended in the field of hardware and software at any time. Kiwigrid is working with piggy-backs cards: clear plug bases, new hardware modules can always be plugged on.
