enviaM Group: A utility pioneers the Internet of Energy

In future, energy in Germany will come from the sun and the wind. The transformation of the power system is expected to be completed by 2050. Meanwhile utility companies are facing the challenges of mastering the regulatory and commercial dynamics while also adopting a leading role in the conversion of the energy systems. The key here is digitization. As a leading regional energy provider in eastern Germany, with roughly 1.4 million customers and 3500 employees, the enviaM Group is therefore driving this process. In doing so, the company is working closely with other actors from the region. This particularly includes cooperation with Kiwigrid GmbH of Dresden, which acts as an Internet of Things (IoT) and infrastructure partner for digital business models.

Learn how the enviaM Group and Kiwigrid are mastering the challenges of the energy transition through digital transformation.
