Reimagine Energy: the Changemakers edition.

What does it take to be a changemaker? In the second edition of Reimagine Energy, the aptly named Changemakers edition, we interview those on a mission to transform the rapidly diversifying energy landscape.

The energy future will look very different to what it is now. It’s not only business models that need to transform, but its leaders need to adapt as well if they are to produce long-lasting, responsible companies.

In this transformation, the importance of powerful ideas and charismatic leadership cannot be underestimated. They are what allow a leader to assemble a capable team and successfully navigate the peaks and troughs of business life. Ford, Baldwin, Thiel and Oprah Winfrey, all featured in the magazine, were propelled by an idea, but they also understood an individual’s needs. They didn’t invent products or services for the sake of it. They all understood human aspiration, emotion and desire, astutely filling their customers’ voids.

Changemakers

  • Recognize early on when change is in the air and understand how it will affect their business,
  • Choose wisely who they bring on board to serve their vision, knowing that with a strong team no obstacle is insurmountable,
  • Build a legacy within their company, understanding that change is an opportunity for growth.

I hope you enjoy reading the new edition of Reimagine Energy and look forward to your feedback, thoughts and ideas.

The future of energy is in your hands.

Matthias Hertel, MD, Kiwigrid
