In the past 23 years, Matthias Hertel has accrued a rich expertise in IT and software development both as entrepreneur and business unit leader. He was in charge of large-scale IT projects both for international corporations and medium-sized companies. He was in leading positions in the areas of finance, project management, consulting, IT communication and software development at Deutsche Telekom, Saxonia Systems and T-Systems. At Kiwigrid, he is in charge of the business units Professional Service IoT, the Engineering Center as well as Finance & HR.

Dr.-Ing. Carsten Bether, CEO and founder of Kiwigrid GmbH, is a very dedicated Smart Grid expert with 15 years of experience within the IT and energy sector. After studying Business Administration and Engineering at the Dresden University of Technology, he worked as a software consultant, CTO and founder of several companies within the IT industry. While being engaged as an Innovation Manager at Deutsche Telekom, he obtained his PhD at the Berlin University of Technology and Stanford University. Since founding Kiwigrid in 2011, Carsten focuses on software for energy IoT solutions and value-added services in the rapidly changing energy industry.

Tim Ulbricht has more than 17 years of experience in service, operations, product management and sales. He has acquired seven years of management experience in the solar industry (SMA Solar Technology and the Gecko Group). For almost four years he was in charge of software development projects in the automotive industry, including Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions. During his six years at Accenture, he worked for Deutsche Bahn AG, Dresdner Bank and Daimler Chrysler. Tim Ulbricht holds a diploma in physics from the Justus Liebig University of Giessen. As a Managing Director, he now is in charge of the business units Product Management, Business Development & Sales as well as Service & Operations. He had already been leading the latter unit since October 2016.
