E-world: Kiwigrid presents Smart Meter Gateway with value-added features
Dresden, January 25, 2017. The Smart Meter Gateway (SMGW) will be the focal point of Kiwigrid GmbH’s presentation at the coming E-world, Europe’s leading trade fair for the energy sector. “The fully integrated, value-added feature is our Smart Meter Gateway’s unique selling point. In the course of the rollout of smart metering systems, it enables us to pave the way for every German energy provider to access the future market of smart energy,” says Carsten Bether, CEO of Kiwigrid.
Kiwigrid’s Intelligent Metering System is compatible with all leading gateway administrators and consists of three components: the legally conformant Smart Meter Gateway, the operating system embedded within the gateway, and cloud-based software solutions for energy management. “In doing so, we are offering a turnkey, software-as-a-service platform for an efficient and economical smart meter rollout,” says Bether.
Smart Meter Gateway with Added Value: Kiwigrid and devolo Join Forces for SMGW Development
Dresden and Aachen, June 20, 2016. Kiwigrid and the Aachen-based devolo AG enter a strategic partnership for the development and marketing of a Smart Meter Gateway. Both companies will join forces to create a truly unique product. Beyond common intelligent metering use cases, the Smart Meter Gateway enables a whole range of new business opportunities, first and foremost in the un-regulated sector. Energy management applications and data aggregation services will benefit most from the real-time information delivered by the SMGW. Electric utilities can use these opportunities to extend their portfolio by implementing use cases and business models that go far beyond smart metering in the regulated sector or for grid management purposes.
High-Tech Gründerfonds III: Kiwigrid Founder and CEO speaks at the fundraising start
Dresden, June 1, 2016 – Next to state secretary Machnig (Federal Ministry for economy and energy) and the management of the HTGF, Dr.-Ing. Carsten Bether will speak at the press-conference which marks the start of the fundraising for the High-Tech Gründerfonds III (HTGF III) on 6. Juni 2016. Mr. Bether will talk about Kiwigrids experience with the HTGF as a seed investor.

The expert jury with members from energy companies and venture capital organizations such as Fraunhofer Venture, Vattenfall Europe Innovation, RWE, and E.ON rewarded Kiwigrid’s cutting-edge technology for intelligent energy management. Kiwigrid CEO Carsten Bether to Speak at EcoSummit Berlin 2016
